Stepping up to Love by Kate O'Boyle

A lakeside porch in the Finger Lakes is the perfect spot for a quiet moment or a heart-to-heart with your special someone. Joel and Manda’s first heart-to-heart on the breakfast porch at the Manse Inn and Spa is anything but romantic. Joel the owner of the Manse is furious with his junior accountant for using one of the spa showers. If Manda didn’t have a desperate story and a spectacular body, Joel might not be feeding her breakfast and falling in love. Can Manda get sober, clean up her act, and open her heart to her rich, hunky boss?

REVIEW:

4.5 / 5
This story felt more like a journey than a book.  The author gave the characters such depth they were real, with very real problems to over come.  I look forward to reading the rest of the series and taking another journey with Ms Boyle's characters.

I'm really touched by your review! In so many ways, recovery and romance and life are journeys. Having people like you on my journey as an author makes such a huge difference! --katie o'boyle

Agree completly with the review. Joel and Manda's inspirational romance journey deals with two very hard subjects—abuse and alcohol addiction. Manda's trials and Joel's support keep you rooting for her to recover throughout the book. Looking forward to more Lakeside Porches books.

Thanks!

Lakeside Porches Book Two (Justin and Gianessa's story) is under consideration with a publisher, and Book Three is in progress. Hooray for three-day weekends with windows of opportunity for writing!
